We recently harvested a massive amount of fava (broad) beans from my parent’s garden. If there are just too many to get through in a single sitting the best thing to do is pod them all and freeze them. They will keep for months and are quick and easy to prepare now that they are podded. You can blanch them straight from the freezer in boiling water and use in any recipe as you would fresh beans. And the best thing is you can enjoy them for months to come even when the fava bean season is over.
